Sur les traces de Contador

Leaving from the Octodure roundabout in Martigny

Leave from the centre of Martigny and follow in the footsteps of the greatest cyclists to reach the resort of Verbier. Start by joining the road from Martigny to Combe. Your ascent starts here, as you head to Châble on the road to Grand St Bernard. The climb is gradual until Châble. If you’re feeling a bit weak, you can finish your climb in the cable car from Châble to Verbier.

Otherwise, one last beautiful climb switch-backing through the villages of our region awaits you. This climb was the scene of a superb attack and finish from Alberto Contador who won the stage and the 2009 Tour de France. Once in Verbier you can relax in one of the resort’s many hotels. You will also find an incredible range of restaurants where you can eat local or international food, depending on what you feel like.
